Melted Egg is a deeply personal work, created early in the artist’s ceramic practice as an exploration of motion, whimsy, and transformation. The sculpture reimagines a universally familiar object—the egg—at the moment it abandons its expected form, softening, spreading, and settling as if caught between states.
The piece plays with contradiction: solid ceramic rendered fluid, permanence shaped to resemble melt. Humor and lightness are present, but never separate from intent. The egg feels both playful and slightly unsettling, inviting the viewer to reconsider ideas of stability, fragility, and control.
